   Dear Ted and Students of Park School:

   What an incredibly inspiring video. The contest video and instructional video are fantastic. We at Catalog Choice will work on promoting the contest that you have initiated.

   The one thing that you need to promise is that the parents authorize their children to opt-out of the catalogs for them. We only want to eliminate unwanted catalogs. If you could append a note to the end of the video verifying that the opt-outs have been authorized by the parents, it will help us in our discussions with the merchants.

   Thanks for all the hard work. Look for your video on our blog soon.

   I will also mention your work to my friend Annie Leonard. I see that you have her Story of Stuff on your site as well.

   Hello Ted,

   You inspired me and I’ve gotten the green light to have a challenge at our school in South Riding, Virginia. I’d like to put up a thermometer with our goal of number of catalogs cancelled in the lobby, and thought it would be a great idea to put next to each goal, facts about how many resources are saved. Is there is a formula to figure this out? Example, if 1,000 catalogs are cancelled, what would be the numbers trees, water, etc…saved?
