My Favorite Song

As we work so hard to help the environment - to save nature and ourselves and our future - it is so important to get outside to appreciate all that we are fighting for. This perfect song called “August 1986″ by Tom Smith, one of my Park School colleagues, always reminds me of this.
And of course, as we work even harder to raise good kids, let’s take them with us. I become a father in two weeks, and the thought in this song of canoeing with a son in our beautiful world inspires me beyond all else. Listen to this song, then go canoeing or for a walk with your sons and daughters.
