Life of Paper Video

www.SecretLife.org made this video about the not-so-green life of paper. This is a great resource for teachers to share with classes if students are running a recycling program. It would also be timely to share this during a Catalog Canceling Challenge to learn more about how paper production wastes resources and causes global warming.

According to this video,“In the US manufacuring sector, the pulp and paper industry is the 4th largest emitter of greenhouse gasses.” Too bad most pages in magazines aren’t read. Too bad people need “disposable” napkins, plates, and cups. Too bad 98% of sales catalogs aren’t used. And half of these paper products aren’t recycled. Let’s encourage others to recycle. Better yet, let’s not use these products any more!
