South Dakota Girl Scouts Join!

Three 8th graders in Girl Scout Troop 74504 from Rapid City, SD canceled at total of 196 unwanted sales catalogs! Each of these young women canceled over 60 to join the One Tree Club and their patches are in the mail! They used this CCC project as a part of their “Forever Green Project” where they studied the environment and sustainable ways to lessen their carbon footprint.

Some of the other things they did were teach younger children about conserving electricity and helped the schools to save electricity by switching off lights when not in use. They also have planted many flower bulbs and tree seedlings. Amazing leadership Troop 74504! Keep it up! You are an inspiration!
