"Many thanks for another wonderful summer session. You create a magic environment that so strongly supports the kids' creative exploration. You're all treasures!!" Parent
"I just have to let you know how incredibly happy my son is with camp. He doesn't say it (after all he is fourteen!) but he bounds out of bed in the morning and walks in the door with a smile on his face at the end of each day. Thanks so much for everything that you do every day (year after year) to make CAAP such a positive experience for my son and all the campers!
"Thank you for establishing a summer program that celebrates childhood and creativity, and makes everyone feel successful."
"The 5 week program really gave the students the time it takes to delve a little deeper and create stronger works of art. Also leaving the month of August for vacations."
"The camp was wonderful - absolutely wonderful! First of all the individual attention given to meet the needs of each kid was so thorough and truly came from a place of love and acceptance. My daughter felt well known by more than her teacher and that was just what made it all work for her. Secondly, the teachers were very talented. I recognize several who worked with Boston Arts Academy and knew them as artists who practice their art as a profession and choose to teach others. The Noontime shows proved to be a great way to see what other kids were doing. My daughter came to love camp more and more each day. What a compliment from a 14 year old!"
At Creative Arts at Park, there is a different atmosphere. This is not your typical camp. It doesnt value sports over the arts. It treats everything with respect. Whether it be Poetry-in-Motion or Ultimate Frisbee, children are encouraged to pursue their dreams. An older camper even called the camp, "a temporary shield" that, if kept in place long enough, can change the way someone decides to live their life.
This program has opened me up to the world of possibilities that are sometimes closed because of the way many of us live our lives. Joe, former staff member
I just love being back at camp. Its not even like a camp. Its like a family. I cant wait to be a CIT! Ben C.
Our daughter's love for CAAP brings us back every summer. She says, "It's where I really can be me." What could be better... talented artists, gifted teachers, high spirits and buzzing creativity. For our family, the arts are at the heart of learning and CAAP is the jewel of the year." Judy Hale, parent and art faculty
