Foundations for the Future: Park's Campaign for Faculty, Facilities, and Financial Aid
Park's Foundations for the Future capital campaign is a $24 million capital improvement program that includes a $15 million fundraising component. Details on the campaign's three initiatives, along with their associated costs, is below.
Facilities: Provide superior facilities for teaching and learning ($16M) The following facilities improvements were completed before the start of the 2008-09 school year:
New Grade IV & V classroom wing with large classrooms.
Renovated and expanded Lower School classrooms.
Renovated library.
Renovated space for Academic Support.
Air conditioning and new thermal windows in main building.
Faculty: Nurture and advance faculty excellence ($4M)
In an increasingly competitive hiring environment, Park's ability to attract and retain outstanding teachers is dependent upon our commitment to leadership both in compensation and in the ongoing professional development we support for our dedicated faculty.
Additional endowment will generate roughly $200,000 towards Park's annual operating budget, earmarked for faculty compensation.
Financial Aid: Sustain & extend our economically diverse community ($4M)
Increased financial aid will help to ensure the economic diversity that we believe to be an essential component of an excellent education for students across the elementary and middle school grades.
Additional endowment will generate roughly $200,000 towards Park's annual operating budget, allowing the School to increase financial aid over the next five years.
