What is the goal of the Foundations for the Future campaign?
Park's Foundations for the Future capital campaign is a $24 million capital improvement program that includes a $15 million fundraising component.
Can I restrict my gift to the Foundations for the Future campaign? Foundations for the Future is a campaign for Park's faculty, facilities, and financial aid. You may restrict your gift to one or more of these three priorities, or you may make an unrestricted gift. Why should I give to the Foundations for the Future campaign?
Park's Foundations for the Future campaign is what our mission requires, and it is what our students and teachers deserve. To be successful, we will need the generous participation of our entire community.
Who contributes to the Foundations for the Future campaign? We are asking parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, and friends of Park to contribute to the Foundations for the Future campaign. All members of the Park community are asked to help reach the dollar goal and to participate in supporting the School. Through the generosity of our extended community, Park is able to provide an amazing educational experience for its students.
How much should I contribute to the Foundations for the Future campaign? Every contribution is important, regardless of size, because it demonstrates an understanding and commitment to supporting the School's programs. Dedication to excellence carries a high price, so Park asks its families to make the School their top philanthropic priority.
How will my gift to the Foundations for the Future campaign make a difference?
Every contribution to the Foundations for the Future campaign is important! Every dollar raised in this campaign allows Park to achieve its mission by offering a faculty culture characterized by a commitment to continuous improvement, facilities that support small class sizes and effective teaching to a variety of learning styles, and a vibrant and diverse student body.
What is the difference between the Foundations for the Future campaign and the Annual Fund?
Park's Foundations for the Future capital campaign is completely separate from the Annual Fund. The Foundations for the Future campaign is a fundraising effort for specific capital improvements: the new and renovated classrooms, renovated library, and improved Lower School playground, as well as endowment for faculty compensation and financial aid.
We ask everyone every year to make a gift to the Annual Fund, and Park relies on the Annual Fund every year to fund the daily operations of the School (as the Annual Fund contributes 9% of the operating budget). Annual Fund money goes towards purposes as varied as faculty salaries, financial aid, and facilities renewal and upkeep. The whole community participates in the Annual Fund year to year, including 95% of parents.
