Park's three music rooms reverberate with the sounds of children making music. The music curriculum, based on the concepts of Zoltan Kodaly, starts in Pre-Kindergarten. Singing, listening, playing, and creative movement continue throughout the grades, as students explore music through folk songs, dance, and games.
Middle Division students learn to play and participate in percussion, recorder, and vocal ensembles. Park's oldest students elect to be in chorus, percussion ensemble, jazz band, or acoustic guitar classes. All students take part in the festivals and special musical events that are traditions at Park: Pre-K through Grade V at Grandparents' Day and May Day, and the entire school at the December Yule Festival.
