About Our Program

Philosophically, The Park School is built around several ideals. Most conspicuous among these are the acquisition of basic and enduring learning skills and the development of self-confidence and a positive attitude toward learning. To achieve these, the School provides a diversified and demanding curriculum that stimulates and challenges the student. The end product is an increased sense of one's competencies and limitations. Naturally, each child will realize his or her success in differing areas and to differing degrees, but each student is admitted and sustained at Park with the understanding that he or she can know legitimate success. The encouragement and recognition of this success are the daily work of the faculty and is also noted in term comments and conferences.

Combined with the curriculum is a broad co-curricular program, including athletics, service learning, drama, numerous student activities and other community opportunities.
