ASP PreK-Grade 4

PreK students enjoy creative projects, engage in dramatic play, and play outdoors. Those who stay until 6 p.m. also participate in daily "club" activities designed just for the youngest children: gardening, baking, singing, engineering and construction, arts and crafts, and board games.

On Friday, when PreK and Kindergarten dismiss at 12:00 p.m., there is no charge for ASP coverage from noon until 3 p.m for PreK and Kindergarten students who are enrolled in ASP on Friday. 

Typical schedule for PreKindergarten at ASP

In Lower Division ASP, our youngest students enjoy a balance of supervised free play, quiet time for reading, and structured activities to explore their own interests and develop friendships. 

On Friday, when PreK and Kindergarten dismiss at 12:00 p.m., there is no charge for ASP coverage from noon until 3 p.m for PreK and Kindergarten students who are enrolled in ASP on Friday. 

Students in Grades 1-4 have many opportunities for shared learning, movement, and creativity. Each day, students enjoy a snack, go outside, work on homework, and play. 

In Grade 4, after school sports are offered for girls on Monday & Thursday and boys on Tuesday & Friday. Students who do not wish to participate in sports may stay in the After School Program until 4:30 at no charge on the days sports are offered for them, i.e., no charge for the 3 - 4:30 ASP block for girls on Monday/Thursday and for boys on Tuesday/Friday. Regular fees will apply for the period between 4:30 - 6 p.m., and for days the sport option is not offered. While enrollment in ASP is not required for after school sports, families who need children to attend ASP when there are no sports offered (beginning and end of school year, before and after breaks etc), must be enrolled in ASP to attend ASP, even though there is no fee attached for those days.
