The Parents' Association (PA) is the organization through which parents volunteer their time at Park to connect, collaborate and contribute. Parent involvement is a unique characteristic of The Park School and is fundamental to its mission.
At Park, all parents are members of the Parents' Association and are invited to attend PA meetings and participate in discussions and decisions. PA activities can be grouped into four categories: Student Support (via curriculum grants), Faculty Support (via professional development and staff appreciation), Parent Support (for example, all school evenings) and Community Building (for example, new parent dinners and community events). The variety of volunteer opportunities makes it possible for parents with different schedules, interests and talents to participate in the life of the School. Whether a one-time or ongoing commitment - every contribution is needed and valued.
With nearly 20 committees to choose from, there is a wide variety of options! For a listing of PA Committees, click here.
The PA is parent-funded and Springfest, Park's Annual Day of Play, is the primary fundraising event. The Parents' Association is administered by a board of parents and a Faculty Advisor who serve as voting officers and advisors. Activities are carried out by committees, whose leadership is nominated annually by the Steering and Strategy Committee and voted on by the entire parent body.
