ASP PreK-Grade 2
When the school day is over, the After-School Program (ASP) provides a safe, relaxed, and nurturing setting for children at Park to spend the afternoons. With its own dedicated staff and well-equipped facility, Park's ASP is a balance of supervised free play, quite time for reading, and structured activities in which children can explore their own interests and develop friendships.
Families may elect for their children to stay until 3, 4:30 or 6 p.m. at additional cost.
When PreK is dismissed at noon, students take a very short ride on The Park School bus to spend the afternoon at Park's dedicated After School Building located at 255 Goddard Avenue. Between 12 - 3, students have lunch, enjoy creative projects, engage in dramatic play, and play outdoors. PreK students who are enrolled until 4:30 or 6 p.m. also participate in daily "club" activities designed just for the youngest children: gardening, baking, singing, engineering and construction, arts and crafts, and board games.
Typical Schedule for PreKindergarten at ASP
|12:00 p.m.||Students ride the school bus from Main building to ASP Building|
|1:00||Indoor choice, activity, or rest|
|6:00||Final Pick-up/ASP closed for the day|

On Fridays, when Kindergartners end their academic day at noon, students ride The Park School bus along with the PreKindergartners to spend the afternoon together at the ASP Building.
Once school is dismissed at 3 p.m., 1st and 2nd graders enjoy snack in the Dining Room and then walk over to the ASP Building to join the fun.
