Connected. Vibrant. Diverse.
Get to know the Park Community
The Park School is 540 individual students from over 30 neighborhoods in greater Boston. Each brings a unique set of talents, interests, and life experiences to our campus, for a culture rich with diversity and dynamic perspectives. Children who attend Park – from our youngest students in PreK to our eighth graders – are making their way along a transformative journey. In the process, passions are discovered and lifelong friendships are sparked.
“My first day at Park as a new sixth grader was great. Kids and teachers welcomed me so warmly – I knew this place was more than just school – it’s a place you could be comfortable being yourself.” – Seventh Grade Student
Whether you’re a “lifer” or you attended Park for just a few years, this will always be your school. The relationships you develop here—both with your classmates and your teachers—will last a lifetime. And while Park alumni span the globe (in 44 states and 20 countries), you’re always welcome back on Goddard Ave. Please stay in touch and visit often.
“It's so odd how you can miss people you never see – there are classmates and teachers from Park that are part of what makes me “me” though I haven't seen them in 25 years.” – Alumna, Class of 1982
For the love of learning.
Park’s educators don’t just teach — they inspire and guide students to succeed throughout their journey. As a result, students view their teachers as more than academic instructors, but as trusted mentors, forming strong bonds that help them thrive both in and out of the classroom.
“Park inspires me to be a great teacher. I walk through the door each day ready to be part of children’s ‘aha’ moments and to guide them in reaching their fullest potential as students and as people. ” – Grade 3 Teacher
Since 1888, Park has been a proud member of the Brookline community. Throughout this history, the School has placed great importance on its relationship with its neighbors.
The Park School Board of Trustees focuses on the long-term health and stewardship of the School, hires and evaluates the Head of School, ensures the School’s financial stability, and formulates major policies concerning the direction of the School.
At Park, your entire family is a fundamental part of our bright, active, and inclusive community. The School delivers not only an excellent whole-child education, but an enriching whole-family experience. You’ve got the support and camaraderie of other parents and family members to make navigating parenthood as enjoyable, functional, and rewarding as possible.
As a parent, you’re automatically a member of the Park Parents’ Association (PA), through which parents volunteer in various capacities according to their interests, talents, and schedules.
“Many Park families think of the School as more than a place to send their children – it’s a place to belong, a real community, a 'neighborhood.'” – Park School Parent
Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day: Every year, on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, grandparents and special friends are invited to spend a special day at Park! Invitations are mailed directly to guests each fall. Take a peek at the photos (link) for some special memories from last year.
